From the inception of Wise Vineyards over 16 years ago, the vision
was always to produce premium quality Margaret River wines that equalled the worlds
best. This vision ensured that every step in the process, from the early stages
of soil analysis and viticultural practices through to winemaking techniques and
finally to packaging, met the quality standards expected of a premium wine producer.
The primary Meelup (Eagle Bay) site
was selected over 16 years ago, following extensive research into the region.
After purchasing the site, a policy of consistent and diligent vineyard management
was implemented, with the vineyard being developed according to strict quality
standards. The winery underwent a dramatic transformation, with extensive expansions
and upgrading in 1999. Following this Ron Wise turned his view
to building the right team of qualified, dynamic employees. The past few years
has seen his investments come to fruition, with the vineyard supplying premium
quality fruit to the winery for its transformation into award winning wines under
the guidance of a young, expert team of dedicated employees.

In accordance with Ron's vision for
Wise Vineyards to become a benchmark producer in the Margaret River region, no
expense is spared in the entire production process. All vines on the Estate are
hand pruned, the fruit hand picked, cover crops and mulch are used for weed control
and insecticides are no longer used, with plant extracts being used to control
pests such as black beetle. These continuing commitments
to quality have resulted in ever-superior wines being released.
After experimenting with a multitude of corks and artificial
closures, Wise Vineyards have uniquely committed both white and red wines to Stelvin
closures. This ensures all of our wines are delivered to the consumer in their
optimum state, free of any cork taint. Stelvin closures also allow the wine to
develop its natural characters with age, without any of the traditional problems
associated with the use of cork.
